Kasha Vishwanath temple

Kasha Vishwanath temple also prominent as the golden temple was said to be built in 1780 by Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar. This is one of the Jyotir Linga as there is Shiva in the form of Vishweshwara or Vishwanatha the Hindu Lord that is present here. Apart from this is the Durga temple which is worth taking a look at. This is because the idol of the goddess here has not been set up by any one but has come up on its own.

This is a temple which is multi tiered in looks and is also the one which is colored red as it is the color which signifies goddess Durga. There are many other temples too which you can go around and visit at the time when you are on a tour at this city. These will include many like that of Bharat mata temple, Vyasa temple, Tulsi Manas temple, The new vishwanath temple and many more.

Ramnagar fort

Ramnagar fort which is 14 kilometers from Varanasi is also the one that is situated opposite of river ganges. This wwas known as the ancestral home for the maharaja of Banaras and was built in eighteenth century by Maharaja Balwant Singh. Ved vyasa was the one who stayed here for a real long period and so the vicinity of the fort and the temple plus a museum is dedicated to him.

Jantar Manatar

Jantar Manatar is one observatory that was known to be built here to measure the local time. Archeological museum and the Bharat kala bhavan are two other great museums which you should have a look at. There are more than 100 ghats which you can visit when you are here.
