Simply Kerala

Day 1: Cochin

Upon arrival at Cochin, our representative will greet and transfer you to the hotel. Freshen up and relax for comforting overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Cochin

Take your breakfast at hotel and proceed to explore Cochin. You will visit various places such as Fort Kochi, Hill Palace, Mattancherry Palace, Bolgatty Palace and many more. Return to your hotel in the evening and stay overnight in your hotel.

Day 3: Cochin – Munnar (128 Km, 3 to 4 hrs)

Have your morning breakfast and leave for your next destination that is Munnar. On the way, you will visit Pine Apple Garden, Rubber plantation, Valara Falls, etc. On arrival in Munnar, our representative will transfer you to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4: Munnar

Take your breakfast at hotel and proceed for day sightseeing Munnar tour. Munnar tour includes visiting Madupetty dam, Echo Point, Gundala Lake, Photo point, Tata Tea Museum, International Blosson Park, Pothamedu Sunset view, Anamudi Peak, Atukkad Waterfalls, Idukki Arch Dam, etc. Return to your hotel in the evening and stay overnight in your hotel.

Day 5: Periyar National Park

Have your morning breakfast and leave for Thekkady. On arrival in Thekkady, our representative will transfer you to hotel. Later you proceed to enjoy Periyar Tiger Reserve by boat safari. In the evening visit spice plantation and have a walk through the spice market. Return to your hotel and stay overnight in your hotel.

Day 6: Thekkady – Kumarakom (119 km, 3 to 4 hrs)

Have your morning breakfast and leave for Kumarakom. On arrival at Kumarakom , our representative will transfer you to hotel. Later you will proceed to enjoy Kumarakom village tour by visiting Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and mind blowing Kerala Back Water. Return to your hotel and stay overnight in your hotel.

Day 7: Kumarakom – Alleppey (47 Km, 1 to 2 hrs)

Have your morning breakfast and leave for Alleppey. On arrival at Alleppey, our representative will transfer you to houseboat and have your lunch in the houseboat. Later, you will visit Snake Boat, Historical Church, Paddy Field, etc. Also enjoy the spectacular sunset. Return to your houseboat and stay overnight in your hotel.

Day 8: Alleppey – Kovalam (161 km, 3 to 4 hrs)

Have your morning breakfast and leave for Kovalam. On arrival in Kovalam, our representative will transfer you to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 9: Kovalam

Have your morning breakfast and proceed for Kovalam sightseeing. Sightseeing includes Padmanabha Swami Temple, Kovalam beach and Shangumugam Beach, Hawa beach, Lighthouse beach, Samudra beach, Ponmudi, etc. Return to your hotel and stay overnight in your hotel.

Day 10: Kovalam – Kanyakumari (82 km, 2 to 3 hrs)

Have your morning breakfast and leave for Kanyakumari. On arrival in Kanyakumari, our representative will transfer you to hotel. Afterwards depart to enjoy sightseeing tour of Kanyakumari which includes Swami Vivekananda Memorial, Triveni Sangamam as well as Thiruvalluvar Statue. Return to your hotel and stay overnight in your hotel.

Day 11: Kanyakumari – Trivandrum (85 km, 2 to 3 hrs)

Our representative will also guide you through the ticketing process as well as the history and significance associated with these sites. A rickshaw ride in the bustling bazaars at Chandni Chowk, tour to Khari Baoli spice market. Return to your hotel in the evening and stay overnight in your hotel.

Day 3: Delhi – Cochin – Munnar (Flight)

Take breakfast at the hotel and our representative will drive you to Delhi airport to board the flight for Cochin .On arrival at Cochin, you will drive to Munnar. On the way you can enjoy delightful views of the Cardamom hills and lush green tea plantations .Munnar is located at the Idukki district of Kerala State in South India. Munnar’s mesmerizing greenery. On arrival in Munnar, our representative will transfer you to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4: Munnar

Take breakfast at the hotel and you will leave for sightseeing of Munnar. You will visit the Eravikulam National Park, the Mattupetty Dam & Dairy Farm, Old Munnar Town and the town market. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5: Munnar – Thekkady (84 km, 2 to 3 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel & drive to Thekkady. On arrival in Thekkady, our representative will transfer you to hotel for overnight stay. Later in the afternoon move out for sightseeing of Thekkady. Thekkady is all about Periyar. Visiting Periyar is like looking at the vast green patches of Kerala wildlife through a pair of binoculars. Day 6: Thekkady – Alleppey ( 145 Km, 4 to 5 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for Alleppey. On arrival at Alleppey, you will board houseboat for cruise through placid backwaters. You will have overnight stay at houseboat.

Day 7: Alleppey – Cochin- Delhi (FLIGHT)

After breakfast at the houseboat, you will drive back to Cochin. On arrival at Cochin, our representative will transfer you to the airport to board flight for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, you will transferred to the airport to board flight for onward destination. In case, you do not have flight, then next day we will arrange the drop at airport.

Day 8: Delhi

The resident doctor after consultation, plans your programme and will also suggest your diet and the therapy commences in right earnest. Please remember that during this period you should not exert yourself and for best result no alcohol, no tobacco and strict vegetarian diet. The capital city, popularly regarded as the ‘Gateway to the South represents a culture that is distinctly different from that of northern India. Day 3: Chennai – Mahabalipuram

Pondicherry Morning drive to Kanchipuram.Kanchipuram, 70 kms west of Mahabalipuram, this city of thousand temples lies. Later proceed to Mahablipuram.Mahabalipuram, driving south of Madras on the coast lies Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram), the ancient port of Pallavas. The pallavas have created many marvellous monuments with sculptural panels, caves, Monolithic Rathas and Temples. Krishna Mandapam, has a big bas relief, notable for its realistic representation. The world’s largest bas relief measuring 27m x 9m, whale back shaped rock contains figures of gods, demi-gods, men .beasts, birds and representation of the entire creation. Shore Temple, one of the oldest in south dating back to 8th century AD is a good example of the first phase of structural temples constructed in Dravidian style.

Day 4: Pondicherry Pondicherry

Although the French influence is gradually fading, Pondicherry retains a few Gallic accents. Pondicherry’s main sights are the Rai Nivas, the Sacred Heart Church and the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. The ashram retreat was founded in 1926 by Sri Aurobindo after whose death the spiritual authority passed to one of his disciples, a French woman known as the Mother. The Mother was also instrumental in founding the city of Dawn Auroville, 10 km from Pondicherry. Its original charter aimed at creating a city of the future where people from India and abroad could live and work together in a spiritual environment. Overnight at the hotel.

Thanjaur Drive to Tanjore visiting enroute Chidambram. Chidambram, the seat of the Cosmic Dancer; dedicated to Lord Nataraja. Spread over an area of 40 acres with a gopuram on each side, the temple is distinguished by the five sabhas or counts. The towering gopurams, the tallest one on the north is 42.4 m are carved on it with 108 dance poses of Bharatanatiyam.On arrival, check-in at the hotel.Afternoon visit Tanjore.Tanjore – The home of Carnatic music, musical instruments, dance and traditional hadicrafts, Tanjore (Thanjavur) is famous for the Brahadeeswarar Temple. The temple constructed more than a thousand years ago by the Chola King Raja Rajan is an architect’s marvel. The Art Gallery and the Saraswathi Mahal Library are also well known places of interest.

Day 6: Thanjaur

Trichy – Madurai Drive to Trichy, 56 km for sightseeing.Srirangam – 5 kms from Trichy, located in an island is Srirangam. Surrounded by the Kaveri water is a 600 acre island town enclosed within the seven walls on the gigantic Sri Ranganathaswami temple. There are no less than 22 gopurams, one of which is the tallest in India. The 72 m high 13 tiered gopuram dominates the landscape for miles around.The Rock Fort situated on the banks of the Kaveri river, Trichy’s most famed land mark is an 84 m high rock, one of the oldest in the world aprox.3,800 million years. The attraction is not for fort itself but the temple at the summit. 344 steps hewn out of rock lead to the top where are the inscriptions dating back to the 3rd century B.C. Later drive to Madurai and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 7: Madurai

Periyar national park Breakfast at the hotel and Madurai, known as Athens of the East, it is the second largest city on the banks of the River Vigai. The city believed to be more than 2500 yeras old. The city got its name from the drops of nectar (Mathuram) that fell from Shiva’s locs when he came to bless its people for constructing a temple for him. Madurai where the people wake up at the chant of hymns is proud of magnificent ‘The Meenakshi-Sundareswara Temple. Of its 12 gopurams, four of the tallest stand at the outer walls of the temple. The 48.8 m high southern gopuram is the most spectacular and have over 1500 sculptures. In the Ashta Shakti Mandapam inside the Meenakshi temple, the sculpted pillars tell the story of the beautiful princess of Madurai and her marriage to Lord Shiva.today we drive to Periyar national park and check in at the resort and in the afternoon we visit Periyar national park. Day 8: Periyar National Park

Finish breakfast early and leave for Jaipur tour. Visit Jaigarh fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Naharganj Fort. Return hotel. Overnight stay will be in Jaipur.

Day 9: Alleppey

Kovalam Breakfast at the hotel and today we drive to Kovalam and check in at the hotel and in the evening we visit one of the famous beach of India “The Kovalam Beach” and later we come back to the hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Kovalam

Breakfast at the hotel and today we visit southern most past India “Kanyakumari”. There we visit some interesting places such as Kanyakumari temple, Padmanabhapuram temple and sunset point. We drive back to Kovalam and Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11: Kovalam

Around Thirty years ago, Kovalam was a hippy idyll: a picture perfect tropical beach; a traditional fishing village providing fresh fish, fruits and toddy (coconut beer). Today it is one of the world famous tourist destinations for Beach lovers. Badami Early morning, have your breakfast as today you will move towards Badami. In order to reach Badami, you will drive across the Deccan Plateau en route Hospet. On your way, you would visit a picturesque gorge located between two sandstone hills. In the afternoon, you will stopover South Fort to see the exquisitely carved temples dating back to the 6th century. On reaching Badami, you would check-in at the hotel and retire for the night.

Following breakfast, you would go for a sight-seeing trip. Your itinerary will include remarkable temples of Aihole and Pattadakal. After arrival in Udaipur, our representative will transfer you to the hotel. Later in the evening you can go for a boat ride in “Pichola Lake” and view the sunset. Return to the hotel for relaxing overnight stay.

Day 9: Udaipur Sightseeing

Take delicious breakfast at the hotel and you will embark on sightseeing trip of Udaipur city, which is famously known as “Venice of the East” and “City of Lakes”. You will visit the City Palace- it is the largest royal complex in Rajasthan, which stands on a rocky promontory and comprises of cupolas, balconies, and towers which gives a wonderful view of the lake and the city. After this you will visit Jagdish temple, which was built in 1651 A.D. by Maharana Jagat Singh, this Indo-Aryan temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a manifestation of Vishnu and noted for its beautiful sculpted images and towering shikhara. Then you will drive through the old city of Udaipur to reach Fateh Sagar Lake and also see Saheliyon-Ki-Bari – Courtyard of the Maidens was designed and laid out early in the eighteenth century as a retreat for ladies of the royal household to spend their time in leisure. Later in the evening you can visit Monsoon palace for sunset or you can do shopping in this beautiful city, which is famous for hand printed textiles, wall hangings, wooden folk toys and much more. Return to the hotel for comforting overnight stay.

Day 10: Delhi Departure (By Flight)

After having breakfast at the hotel, our company representative will transfer you to the Udaipur airport to board the flight to Delhi and on arrival you can take the flight to your next destination.
