Tour Itinerary

Day-1: Arrival in Bangalore & Board Golden Chariot

Arrive at Bangalore, the vibrant capital of Karnataka. You will be welcomed with a traditional reception and check-in formalities at the designated luxury hotel/lounge. Attend a brief orientation session about your Golden Chariot journey and meet fellow travelers. Enjoy high tea and a cultural performance. Later in the evening, board the Golden Chariot Luxury Train at Yesvantpur Railway Station, where your grand journey begins. Dinner onboard and overnight in your private cabin.

Day-2: Mysore – Royalty and Grandeur

Wake up to breakfast onboard as the train arrives in Mysore, the city of palaces. Disembark for a guided tour of the Mysore Palace, an architectural marvel blending Hindu, Mughal, and Gothic styles. After lunch at a luxury hotel, explore Chamundi Hills, Devaraja Market, or opt for a rejuvenating Ayurvedic session at a spa. Return to the train for dinner and overnight journey to your next destination.

Day-3: Hampi – Ancient Capital of Vijayanagar

After breakfast onboard, arrive at Hospet, your gateway to Hampi, the former capital of the Vijayanagar Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the iconic Vittala Temple, Stone Chariot, Musical Pillars, and Virupaksha Temple. Stroll through the royal enclosures, elephant stables, and lotus mahal. Enjoy lunch at a local heritage hotel or onboard. Evening at leisure, or enjoy a cultural dance performance in a temple courtyard. Dinner and overnight onboard as the train departs for Badami.

Day-4: Badami – Rock-Cut Caves & Chalukyan Glory

After an early breakfast, go at Badami, known for its exquisite rock-cut cave temples dating back to the 6th century. Explore the caves dedicated to Hindu, Jain, and Buddhist traditions carved into sandstone cliffs. Visit the Bhutanatha group of temples and nearby Pattadakal, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a traditional lunch before returning to the train. Evening free to relax onboard with spa services or cocktails in the lounge. Dinner and overnight onboard as the train continues toward Goa.

Day-5: Goa – Portuguese Heritage & Coastal Charm

Arrive in Goa, India’s most famous beach destination. After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Old Goa, visiting Basilica of Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral, and Church of St. Francis of Assisi — all reflecting Portuguese colonial architecture. Head to a Portuguese-era mansion for an authentic Goan lunch with a live music performance. Later, visit the vibrant Panaji Latin Quarter, Fontainhas, or shop for souvenirs and local crafts. Return to the train for your farewell dinner as the journey nears its end.

Day-6: Onboard – Relaxation Day

Today, the train offers a day of relaxation and luxury as you travel back toward Bangalore. Enjoy onboard amenities including spa treatments, lounging in the bar, or soaking in the scenic countryside views. Attend a culinary demo or interact with the staff to learn more about Indian royal hospitality. Overnight onboard.

Day-7: Arrival in Bangalore – Tour Ends

After breakfast onboard, the Golden Chariot returns to Yesvantpur Station, Bangalore. Disembark with fond memories and regal experiences of South India’s treasures. Optional airport transfers or extensions in Bangalore can be arranged upon request.

Day-8: (Optional Add-on): Bangalore City Tour / Departure

If your flight departs late or if you opt for an extra day, enjoy a guided tour of Bangalore, covering Bangalore Palace, Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, and Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace. Later, transfer to Kempegowda International Airport for your onward journey.
