Tourist Attractions

The Dargah

It is a popular tomb of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. This tomb is worshipped by people of all religion. Hence, there are many tourists arriving here from throughout the world. This saint gave up all the worldly desires and lived an acetic life. It is a splendid tomb of Khwaja Sharif which was built in a wide area.

Saint’s tomb

Constructed with splendid marble and surrounded on all side with a silver platform, this shrine is another attraction for Tourists coming to Ajmer.

Mausoleum

Created by the Nizam of Hyderabad, it is a massive gate with splendid architecture used to design this. As you enter it, you can find Akbari Masjid located next to it.

Adhai-din-ka-jhoupra: Adhai- din-ka-jhoupra is another popular architecture of Ajmer as it has a distinct significance. This was built in 2 days and has availed its name from its peculiarity. Such architecture is a wonderful replica of Indo – Islamic culture.

Pushkar

Pushkar is another holy place located next to Ajmer. Apart from the temples and holy places, camel fair is another activity carried out over here. Tourists from all over the world visit here during this period to be a part of this colorful fair.

Brahma Temple

This temple is of major interest in Pushkar as it is the only temple of Lord Brahma in the world. Four- armed idol of lord Brahma is one of its kinds in the world.

Pushkar Lake

This is also a major tourist attraction in Pushkar. It is a belief of many people that this lake was generated when a lotus fell from hands from Lord Brahma. As it is considered to very holy, devotees coming to Pushkar take a dip in it. It is surrounded on all its sides by around 52 ghats and 500 temples.

Rangii Temple

Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this temple is constructed in the south Indian style. Garuda image is found inside the temple which is worshipped by devotees coming over here.

Pushkar Bazaar

If you are coming to Pushkar, you just cannot miss its colorful bazaar. At this bazaar, you can find many interesting things like decorative pieces, accessories and Rajasthani jewelry.

If time permits, there are also many other places worth a visit such as Savitri Temple, Varah temple and Roopangarh fort. To complete the entire trip, you can hire a car rental.
